Warm Strawberry & Chocolate Angel food Trifle
This is an ooey, gooey delicious messy treat! Using store bought angel food cake makes this an easy and fun
dessert. Lining Crock-PotŪ stoneware with parchment paper makes for a simple clean up. Substitute strawberries for your favourite fruits. Serve with ice cream. Sprinkle extra marshmallows around outside edges of cake, they become browned and crunchy.

Crockpot Time: LOW 1-1/2 hours
Ingredients:
1 227g Angel Food Cake, sliced into three 1-inch (2.5 cm) rings. Note: you may have
to trim the outside of the cake to fit the diameter of the insert
3 cups (750 mL) strawberries, diced and divided
1 cup (250 mL) mini marshmallows
1 cup (250 mL) chocolate pieces
1/4 (50 mL) cup 35% cream
Cooking Instructions:
1. Line Crock-PotŪ stoneware with parchment paper and top with largest
bottom ring of Angel Food Cake. In medium bowl, gently combine 2 cups
(500 mL) strawberries, marshmallows, chocolate and cream.
2. Top ring with 1/3 of mixture followed by middle ring of cake, 1/3 mixture, top ring of cake followed by
remaining mixture, directing extras down the centre hole of the cake.
3. Secure lid and cook on LOW for 1-1/2 hours or until ingredients have melted together.
4. Spoon sauce from centre over cake.
5. Slice, scoop and serve with ice cream and reserved 1 cup (250 mL) diced strawberries
