Burgers stuffed with Chreem Cheese



We really enjoyed the taste and texture of this burger! The oozing cream cheese in the middle made it very moist and the patty was very flavourful. Not complicated to make but unique and delicious! Rhonda was the big winner!




Serves: 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Refrigerate Time: 1 hour
BBQ Time: 10-12 minutes

Ingredients:


2 lbs lean ground beef

1 tsp. chipotle chili powder

1 tsp. garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/4 cup hickory smoked BBQ sauce

Freshly ground pepper and salt, to taste

1 egg



Cream Cheese Filling:

2 tbsp. Chopped fresh chives (or 2 tsp dried)

6 tbsp. cream cheese



6 hamburgers buns



Toppings:

Bacon

Onion

Tomato

Dill pickle slice

Mixture of mayonnaise and hickory smoke BBQ sauce




Cooking Instructions:


Combine the hamburger ingredients and set aside.



In a separate bowl combine the cream cheese filling mixture.



Divide meat mixture into 12 equal portions and shape into patties. Spoon one tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto six of the patties. Top each with another patty (one that does not have the cream cheese mixture on it) and seal the edges.



Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before grilling.



Top buns with bacon, onion, tomato, dill pickle slices and a mixture of mayonnaise and Hickory Smoke BBQ sauce.
