Veggie Enhanced Hamburger Mixture

1 stalk celery, coarsely chopped
1 medium Ontario Carrot, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 small Ontario Onion, quartered
1 Ontario Greenhouse Sweet Red, Yellow or Orange Pepper, seeded and quartered
1/4 cup (50 mL) fresh parsley
1 clove Ontario Garlic
1 lb (500 g) lean ground beef, chicken, pork (or combination)
1-1/2 cups (375 ml) dry bread crumbs (more if needed)
1/2 cup (125 ml) grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
1 tsp (5 ml) dried oregano
1/2 tsp (2 ml) each salt and pepper

Cooking Instructions:

In food processor, pulse chopped celery, carrot, onion, parsley and red pepper until minced finely. In large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, oregano, pepper, salt, and finely minced vegetables. Mix well. Add more breadcrumbs if mixture doesn't hold together well. Form into patties.
