Greek Catfish

Trying to get your kids to eat spinach? They’ll love the feta-spinach mixture combined with the sweet, mild taste of catfish.

Bake Time: 15-20 minutes


1 tbsp (15 mL) olive oil
4 U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish fillets, 6 to 8 oz (180 to 250 g each)*
2 tsp (10 mL) black pepper
1 10-oz (285 g) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
3/4 cup (175 mL) crumbled feta cheese
1 tbsp (15 mL) dried oregano
3 tbsp (45 mL) melted butter
2 green onions, chopped

*Some fillets may be sold in larger or smaller sizes–it’s best to buy according to weight and cut larger fillets to desired size. Adjust cooking times according to thickness and size.

Cooking Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350ºF (180ºC). Grease a shallow baking pan with olive oil and place the U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish fillets in the pan. Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon (5 mL) of the black pepper.

In a small bowl, mix the spinach, feta, oregano, butter, green onions and remaining pepper until well incorporated. Top each U.S. Farm-Raised Catfish fillet with an equal amount of the spinach mixture.

Bake at 350ºF (180ºC) for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Serve immediately.
