Gramma Stelli's Crab Puffs (kinda)



As delicious as it is easy, these crab puffs are a great addition to any finger food party. Make in advance - perfect for the drop in visitor. This old fashioned appetizer called for Cheese-Whiz - we replaced it with cream cheese and old cheddar.

Ready In: 50-60 minutes
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Bake Time: 10 minutes
Freezer Time: 20-30 minutes

Ingredients:


1 (120g) tin crab, drained



1 cup (250mL) old cheddar, shredded



1 cup (250 mL) cream cheeese



2 tbsp (30mL) mayonnaise



2 tbsp (30mL) butter



1 garlic clove, minced



2 tsp (10mL) Worcestershire sauce



2 green onions, finely chopped



8 English muffins, or foccacia




Cooking Instructions:


In large bowl, combine all ingredients well; spread over 8 English muffins (16 halves). Freeze for 20-30 minutes or until firm on baking sheet. Cut into quarters and transfer to freezer container. Preheat oven to 450F (230C). Place frozen quartered puffs on baking sheet; bake about 20 minutes or until puffed and golden.
